Grade II* Listed Georgian country residence with stunning gardens and many ancillary buildings including cottages, a medieval dovecote, stables, a fishing temple, orangery and chapel.  The estate sits in a private valley, just north of the pretty Georgian Town of Stamford in Lincolnshire - the location of our head office.

The main Hall, as it stands today, was constructed in three phases.  The first in the 17th century on the site of an older medieval manor house, the second in the 18th century when the house was gentrified.  Further alterations were made during the 19th century.  The buildings are constructed from locally sourced Clipsham stone with Collyweston roof coverings over.  The main hall, both externally and internally, is the epitome of Georgian style, elegance and character.

Ross Thain Architects were appointed by the present owners, in late 2013, to coordinate a full restoration of all buildings, to the highest possible standards.  Everything from the hall’s grand staircase, door knobs and hinges, the chapel’s roof, bells and 14th Century stained glass windows amongst many other countless items, have been restored with great care, historical research and professionalism.

The project has taken 30 months to complete and during this time Ross Thain Architects based a specialist team in an on-site satellite office, from where they worked closely with the all contractors and specialist consultants contributing to the project.  No stone remained unturned in the restoration process.
